The area of the Mirna River, the longest river in Istria, is where the Mediterranean and continental climates cross paths. Just as oxygen bubbles make life possible in Mirna, so will the bubbles in our sparkling wines bring life to your palate.

Motovun vineyards grow on extremely heavy loam and marl soil that often develops characteristic cracks. It is exactly this uniqueness of Motovun soils and microclimate that translates into the minerality tasted in our fresh wines.

Dominated by pedunculate oak, Motovun forest is the last remaining lowland floodplain forest in the Mediterranean area. The power of the oak barrels used for taming and rounding off our aged wines is found in every sip.

Motovun forest is the largest hunting site of the white truffle, the most expensive Istrian food ingredient. The white truffle is known far and wide for its unmistakable aroma, and an equally rich and pleasant aroma is found in our premium wines.
